Methi Paneer is a popular paneer recipe made with fenugreek leaves. It is healthy and nutritious and has a memorable taste. A special winter recipe, Methi Paneer tastes great with parathas and naan and can also be served with steaming hot rice.
Ingredients of Shahi Paneer

- 1 finely chopped onion
- 250 gm cubed paneer
- 1/4 cup Refined oil
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 500 gm fenugreek leaves ( methi)
- 2 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon powdered turmeric
- 1 teaspoon spice black pepper
- 2 tablespoon fresh cream
- Step 1Cut and wash the fenugreek leaves. Apply salt and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Step 2Squeeze out the water out of fenugreek leaves and wash again.
- Step 3Boil in 2 cups water for 5 minutes. Drain off the water and squeeze the fenugreek leaves to remove all traces of water.
- Step 4Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the onion, add the fenugreek leaves and saute for 5 minutes.
- Step 5Add the paneer cubes and the dry masalas. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Step 6Add the cream and remove from flame. Serve hot.
